The Crystal-Derm is a special tub for balneo-phototherapy. The pre-tempered tub water is kept evenly warm throughout the day by a built-in heater with automatic temperature control.
Due to the great depth of the tub, the patient’s entire body is surrounded by water. As a result, the brine is distributed evenly over the patient’s entire body. The free-standing shape of the tub and its rounded edges ensure good handling with the film.

Useful tub volume: 250 liters.
Tub material: high quality sole resistant acrylic glass.

APPLICATION AREA

In balneo-phototherapy, the Crystal-Derm is used especially for brine and PUVA foil baths before the subsequent UV illumination. The foil bath has the great advantage that the physician can change the brine concentration or use other active substances from one patient to another. Thus, a change of therapy in quick succession from e.g. psoriatics to neurodermitics is possible.

Foil baths

The patient lies in the tub water separated by the foil.
Approximately 5 liters of brine are filled into the foil. The pressure of the tub water from all sides on the foil ensures an even distribution of the brine on the patient’s body. Only one tub filling of water per day can be used for all applications consecutively, as patients do not have skin contact with the water.
